J.D.Pools targets over 15% growth in 2023 with 4 new branches

Mr Thanusak Phuengdet, Managing Director of J.D.Pools Co., Ltd., the manufacturer and distributor of J.D.Pools swimming pools and Thailand's No. 1 brand, said that the annual conference of franchise dealers from across the country, held in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province, gave him more information and practical approaches, which are of great benefit for developing pool products and services for consumers. Together with his study trip to swimming pools in Lyon, France, he has applied these ideas to set J.D.Pools' direction of development: moving towards modernity and advanced technology, with more automated water quality monitoring. In 2023 there will be modern products, with customers able to receive water quality information quickly through an automation system, supported by an app as a convenient tool, like other businesses.

“J.D.Pools' development goal for next year is to step into digital and automation, with more and more apps for each function, especially real-time water quality monitoring and ever-better control of the equipment used to maintain water quality. We want to lead in this area, so that both new customers and past customers receive modern service as well,” Mr Thanusak said.

Mr Thanusak said that J.D.Pools swimming pool technology will move towards being easier to maintain, with a wider range of prices to choose from, and more modern and more useful than owning a pool just for show, because it can genuinely address health issues and can be used more systematically as a tool for health rehabilitation or to support people with disabilities. J.D.Pools has already completed building an Olympic-standard prototype pool for the Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Provincial Administrative Organisation, and has invited government personnel from every region to see the construction work on pools for athletes' use, as well as pools used to teach children and young people to swim, in order to reduce losses and lower the death rate from child drowning.

“The government's policy today is to reduce the drowning death rate among Thai children under 15. According to 2021 statistics, 658 children died from drowning. Local administrative organisations therefore want to build more swimming pools of various sizes as places to learn and teach swimming, so that children are taught to swim from an early age.”

Mr Thanusak said that, as for J.D.Pools' market expansion direction in 2023, it will use its existing 22 showrooms in 20 provinces, while opening another 3-4 showrooms to provide thorough coverage in the central region, the upper northeast, the upper north and the south, of which 2 locations are now confirmed. Market targets will be more diverse than before, when the focus was on pools in private homes. It will now expand further into public pools, such as hotels, resorts, schools, provincial administrative organisations, subdistrict administrative organisations, city municipalities and subdistrict municipalities.

Mr Thanusak also said that J.D.Pools came through the public health crisis and economic downturn of the COVID-19 pandemic while keeping all of its employees, with no dismissals, suspensions or pay cuts, while its franchise dealers and branches all remain and have achieved sales no lower than before COVID. This leaves the company ready to move forward as conditions recover.

“In 2023, we are confident that J.D.Pools will grow sales by no less than 15% as we enter more market segments than before. With trading partners who have modern technology, we are better prepared to manage and deliver service more thoroughly than ever. We are currently developing new products that are innovative and priced to suit the economic climate.”
