Taking the dog for a swim at DOGGIE DOO
Water sprays up after the “splash” of a little dog leaping into the swimming pool, another of the dogs' favourite activities at the DOGGIE DOO dog training centre. Khun Nada Seeboonruang, founder of DOGGIE DOO, told us why she chose a ready-made saltwater dog pool:
I chose a ready-made saltwater dog pool because it can be built quickly, matches the design we imagined, has a non-slip floor, and is durable and strong throughout, so it has a long service life with no annoying problems later. The price is reasonable and within the budget I had in mind. Most importantly, a saltwater system is not harmful to dogs' skin, does not leave their coats dry and coarse, and even adds moisture to the skin, so you can be confident your beloved dog is safe playing in the water. DOGGIE DOO offers dog hotel services, trains dogs to obey basic commands, and much more that dog lovers will adore, such as hydrotherapy for injured dogs.
“Putting a dog in a swimming pool takes the body weight off the legs, which is safer than running, and helps burn energy. Some dogs have a lot of energy and, if they are not taken out to exercise, they may damage things around the house. For dogs with hip injuries, swimming helps like hydrotherapy: they swim for 5 minutes at a time and then rest, under the close supervision of our staff.”
